    4/5

We arrived after a 5-6” snowfall and it was not real clear how we were supposed to park as there was just a little lane in front of the house that would only fit one car and one car was parked in the house to the left of our place so we had to go around the block and come in from the opposite side, which was not very well cleared off and we had to enter it from a uphill climb… we had to take it in several attempts, fortunately my car has good 4wd but we should have been told in advance that 4wd is almost absolutely necessary if there is much snow.. I tried calling the numbers available on the site to find out about the parking situation at the house, but got no answers… the front porch was not cleared of snow so we had to get in the house and get out a broom and shovel to clear off the front steps so we could get into the house safely. Once that was all done… it was nice, pretty clean inside and well equipped, There could have been more instructions on using the heating systems in the bedrooms and their quirks… btw, if you turn them on, it does get probably too warm at night even on a low setting. The back porch which we needed for the dogs, was not cleared of snow either, so that was our next project, and cleared off all the back porch to the jacuzzi, the jacuzzi and the steps that lead down to the dog yard… very adequate space for our pups and they actually loved the snow bit… I just felt that for the price we paid the snow should have been shoveled or we should have been given a discount for having to do it ourselves, it was a lot of snow… fortunately we are not THAT OLD…65 and 70 so it wasn’t that big of a deal, but if we were handicapped, or any older or not steady on the feet, I would suggest not to visit this place in the winter, it is not for the faint of heart lol… As I said above its a cute cabin, fairly clean and well equipped. I think in the summer it would be fine spot. Just another warning, if you were to get here in a very large storm, the likely hood of getting snowed in is real, so you might take that into consideration before you book this spot.

    4/5

Enjoyed the cabin and the local wildlife, didnt get to use the hot tub due to snow. Parking is a little tight for a big truck. Also its a bit pricey but being it was a special occasion we went ahead and stayed. Otherwise we would consider staying again.

  • Perfect house within walking distance to town and trails for hiking

    5/5

We really enjoyed the house. It had a fireplace and a hot tub and the host even had a s’more making station. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, pots, pans, cutlery, and gadgets. The house truly had all that you need to feel at home. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to everything in town and to many trailheads for hiking. The owner and host were very responsive to any questions that we had. I would highly recommend this listing.
