The cabin was nice and the scenery was beautiful. BUT I would not have rented this cabin if the listing disclosed all of the cameras on the outdoor areas. The listing specifically disclosed ONE camera at the front door for the guests’ safety. When I arrived to the cabin there were multiple cameras all over the porch and deck areas. I unplugged the cameras that were not disclosed in the listing (I left the front door cameras plugged in) and was text immediately telling me to plug them back in and that tempering with the cameras was a fine. I contacted the owner who was respectful. However, when I told him I hoped he understood why me and the other guests felt uncomfortable knowing we could be watched at all times when outside and that we were entitled to our own privacy, told me that he didn’t feel comfortable knowing we could steal all of his property without he and his wife knowing. I suggested that I would leave the bottom porch and front door cameras plugged in so they could see us if we carried anything out of the house, but I would unplug the cameras on the area of the deck where we were hanging out. He said he would have to discuss with his wife as they watched the cameras regularly. This solidified the fact that we did not have our own privacy which concerned me and the other guests. They did agree to let us unplug the top deck cameras but we left them plugged in as the camera batteries would have kept them charged anyway. I will say the cabin was beautiful, and the owner was responsive and tried to work with me on the camera issue. It just didn’t make up for the listing specifying one camera for safety which was contrary to how many were actually on the outside of the cabin.

Beautiful home in the woods, tricky steep road getting to location but very nice place. Not on the lake, but beautiful view from house of woods and in distance you can see a little of the lake and the bridge.
