5/5 Quiet and comfortable, rustic get-away
4/5 This home is a rustic, but comfortable place, perfect for a secluded and quiet get-away, with board games and walks. The home is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is newly renovated, the listing accurately describes the home and area. We went for a beautiful walk at Lake Tabeaud, a half hour away, and there were groceries conveniently located within a mile. There were a few snags associated with it being a new listing, but the host was super-responsive and took care of everything we needed within minutes. One note is that the third bedroom, like the rest of the house, also has a fireplace that must be started for a warm night; we got lazy and had one kid sleep on the couch instead. The fire in the living room is charming and well-suited for good conversation over hot chocolate. Overall, a great stay.
