  The cabin was beautiful, clean and well equipped. It was quiet and peaceful... Were there for the eclipse and it was amazing. Nice little town with many things to do and see.

• Whistling Duck!! 💯 recommend

  Whistling Duck was absolutely amazing. This was our first time in Broken Bow and I promise it won't be our last. Your accommodations were perfect from my 2 yr old granddaughter to my 70 yr old mother and mother in law And everyone in between. We fell absolutely in love. This has now turned into an annual trip for me and my family.

  Thank you for granting us the opportunity to spend time at your stunning cabin this past weekend. My family and I cherished every moment of our stay. The ambiance and setting were truly exceptional. Location was amazing, enjoyed the pond view!

• Great Family House

  We has a wonderful stay. The property is gorgeous. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 kids. Our host was very responsive. The kids enjoyed hours upstairs in the game room and on the playscape. We didn't manage to catch any fish from the pond, though. The only negative was the pilot light for the outdoor fireplace kept blowing out. It might be time for them to replace it. Overall 10/10

• The Difference is in the Details.

  I wish I could give this place 5 stars, since on paper it sounded terrific! We stayed with another family and have stayed in many rental properties over the past 10 years, and this one fell below our expectations and what we are used to. Maybe we have high expectations, but for the price we pay to rent these homes, we have come to expect that towels and linens do not have stains or are frayed. We expect the kitchen drawers to be organized and clean. We expect that pots and pans do not have the teflon flaking off. We expect that the kitchen table bench seats are not made from a piece of tongue-in-groove flooring, causing the bench to bend and sag when one person is sitting on it. We expect to be able to sit outside and enjoy the firepit without the stench of what we can only assume was sewage. We expect all televisions to work. We expect the refrigerator to be clean when we arrive, and expect that it have enough door shelves to accommodate our food (this one comes with 2, but 1 is about to break). We expect that the room our teen girls stay in have window coverings in the bathroom so they can get ready and take showers without feeling like someone can see them. Maybe these are high expectations, and maybe this is what a typical home rental is like, but we felt since we were paying the same prices we have paid in the past, that we would experience the same attention to details that we have previously enjoyed.

  The location of this house is terrific, being close to the shops and other fun things to do in Broken Bow. We enjoyed the fireplace, and the kids enjoyed the pool table upstairs. I think if the owners can focus on the little details to make this place worth the price they are charging, they can continue to see people willing to stay there over and over again.

Our ongoing commitment is to promptly and effectively resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring our guests' satisfaction. Real-time communication during your stay enables us to swiftly address any concerns, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
  -Our cabin embraces a rustic theme, which is reflected in our furniture design. The images showcasing our furniture, including the table in question, are meticulously presented in our listing to offer a preview of the theme and style.
  -Our TVs are fully operational, and any issues with the remotes, such as needing new batteries, could have been readily resolved had we been notified. Additionally, we regularly refresh utensils, pots, pans, grills, and other kitchenware. The reported issue with the pots and pans is perplexing as they were recently replaced for the previous guest.
  -While we make efforts to organize our utensils, guest rearrangements, especially during peak seasons, might cause some disarray. We strive to maintain and organize these items as efficiently as possible.
  -Our septic system undergoes biannual servicing and remains in good condition. Occasionally, neighboring cabins might encounter issues, resulting in odors that may drift through the area.
  -Privacy is of utmost importance, and our location is secluded, ensuring minimal visibility through the windows. However, should guests feel uncomfortable with open windows, we would have readily accommodated them by providing temporary coverings.
  -The refrigerator is fully operational; while some shelves may show signs of wear from previous guests, they remain functional.
  Our commitment to all our guests is to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews.
