  • Not clean or maintained

    View and proximity to beach was great. The only good thing of the stay. Condo was not clean or maintained. 1) no light cover and burnt out bulb in master. 2) dirty light switch plates in master3) master bath had a caulk job in the tub that looked like a crack head did. 4) sleeper sofa cushions not placed correctly and they were stained and had threads missing. 5) blue arm chair had stains all on it6) dinning room table was sticky 7) middle bedroom light was being held up by the electrical line8) smoke detector in kitchen did not work9) island counter top was dirty10) the utensils drawer located in the island had trash in them and food and apparently and dirty silverware. 11) stove top dirty and very old. One of the electric eye sits cockeyed 12) dryer took 3 cycles to dry 6 towels 13) light switch in the jack and hill bathroom was sticking out from the wall14) bedrooms are very stuffy when the doors are closed15) we had sugar ants in the kitchen16) could not find the carbon monoxide detector17) two trash cans provided, only one had a trash bag and no extra trash bags provided18) nothing to scrub dishes with. 19) I have stayed in 2 star shady motels that I felt were cleaner.

  • Dirty, not safe and very misleading

    The pictures on Vrbo are very misleading from the actual unit.,the pictures make it appear that the unit is in immaculate condition and that is not the case. The living room furniture looks dirty; like it’s never been cleaned. The tub in the one bathroom was cracked and we could not use it so 5 people were reduced to one bathroom. The light fixture over one of the beds was hanging from wires; it was not even attached to the ceiling. One of the light switches in the bathroom was also hanging by wires and not attached to the wall. The floors felt very gritty when walked across them in your bare feet; it looked and felt as if the unit had not been cleaned before our arrival. Communication is terrible with the managing company., there is a local guest service company to help with anything and we reported everything to them upon and arrival and was told they would get in touch with the owner. We never heard back from anyone. The place smelled of mijuarana. Our assumption is someone outside or in another unit was smoking and it came right through the ventilation system. We ended up notifying the local guest services and let them know we vacated the property and did not stay there but one night. It was not fit to stay in. And I still have not heard from the managing rental company or the owner.

    We all loved the location right on the beach. Beautiful views from the deck. Everything was comfortable with plenty of space. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Was not cleaned before our arrival. Owner NEVER reached out! No hot water. Dirty towels. Food left

    Location great. Unit was disgusting. Old and musty, beds are uncomfortable and were full of crumbs due to sheets not being changed. One bed had a huge wet spot. Urine smell in bathrooms. Dirty towels were stuffed inside of vanities and in washing machine unwashed. Refrigerator was full of food. Trash not taken out. Countertops and dinning table was sticky and covered in food and crumbs. Floors covered in layers of sand. No hot water for showers. The list goes on. It was late discovering all of the mess day of check in. All 8 of us made due and slept on top of the beds with our blankets. We, my 71 year old mother, husband and I got up at 5am went to Walmart bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the unit ourselves. Washed all sheets and towels. I called our contact person and she claims she was never notified by the owner that the unit was rented. Have only offered to refund our cleaning fee. If I was an owner I would have been MORTIFIED that my guest had to walk into those conditions. Plus the guarantee of "Our homes come with the promise of standards, meaning you'll always arrive at a place that's meticulously clean and as great as you saw online. Our cleaning teams are taking additional steps right now to sanitize and disinfect each home to suggested CDC standards." NEVER did we hear from the owner. The cleaner offered to come BUT had to contact owner first I said no it's been done, not the cleaners fault. A person did come to fix the hot water tank SATURDAY evening after we all had our showers. The most stressful exhausting and embarrassing so called vacation.

    - The hot water heater had a malfunction which we immediately had repaired once we knew. The previous guests did not have any issues.
    - We hope that the generous measures provided to you helped make up for your negative experience.
    - We're working to ensure mix-ups like this don't happen again.
