• Solar eclipse

  I booked the stay to see the eclipse in Fredericksburg, and it was the only thing I could find after three days (every thing else with 2 bedrooms was booked). I thought the price was a little high but booked it and figured it was "eclipse" inflation. When we pulled in we were amazed! It was easily the best house and yard in the whole neighborhood! It was fantastic, inside and out! I then decided that it was one heck of a deal for the quality of the residence. I would book it again (if I were to return).

  I would definitely come back especially in the summer when we could fully utilize the outdoor ammenities. We really enjoyed everything about this house and neighborhood.

  We loved the house layout, things it had to cover almost any family scenario, very well kept and overall comfortable house.

  I would of liked to see the backyard a bit cleaner like the front and although the deck was nice the view wasn’t what we expected.

  The description said the house is on the lake, technically that’s correct but a bit deceiving when you’re thinking your view would include seeing water or walking distance to the lake which neither was true.

  Overall, nice lake house with everything considered

  From the owner: "Hi Angel, We appreciate your stay and leaving a review of the property! Unfortunately, due to the drought Potters Creek which often flows behind the house into a peaceful cove off the lake has been dried up. When this is flowing you often have a "peek-a-boo" of the lake and can hear the water running. Just beyond the firepit all of the property is Army Core of Engineers Property meaning that it is protected and should not be maintained. If you walk to the ledge and hook a right there is a path that follows the ridgeline behind the two neighboring properties which opens up to the lake. We hope for more rain!"

• Great home at Canyon Lake

  We stayed a wonderful three days at this beautiful Canyon Lake Property.

  We were aiming to have a wonderful short spring vacation in the Texas countryside - but then the weather wasn't what it was supposed to be. However, the house totally made up for it! It is so modern in such a calm surrounding, we fell in love with it from the moment we went through the front door.

  And we managed to enjoy the grill, the outdoor fire pit and saw a few wild animals.

  Will definitely try to come back.
