  We enjoyed our stay here very much! The location of this property offered us close access to Seawall Blvd, Downton and The Strand, and so much more. For anyone who enjoys crafting, BONUS, the local yarn shop, Joyfully Stranded Yarn and Beads, is just 4-5 blocks away!The home has been updated, plenty of space for my large family (group of 9) to hang out for the week. While the temperatures in Galveston were super hot, we enjoyed the cool oasis in this home during the hottest parts of the days. The kitchen offered plenty of space and everything we needed for preparing food for our family. We had no problems with the property while we were there. I did have a couple of questions when we first arrived, and the house host was very quick to respond to my email. There are a couple of cosmetic things that need to be addressed, but overall, this place was perfect for the week away with my family. One note: the neighborhood seems fairly calm and quiet most of the time, but we did experience some loud noise/traffic on one of the nights. This is in a city neighborhood and there will be traffic, but overall, it was a calm, seeet oasis for my family!

  It was a great time at the property there were a lot of sticker burrs so it is best to wear some closed toe shoes.

• Perfect for my family

  We enjoyed our stay in Galveston so much! The house was perfect for us to have a “home base” for the week. The host was quick to respond to an email that I sent upon arrival, and we didn’t have any major issues with the house while we were there. Some of the ceiling fans didn’t seem to work, or we were not finding the correct switches (which is possible!). There were just a few cosmetic things I noticed, typical wear-and-tear on a home, high traffic kitchen floor areas, etc., but since we are a large family, I was not looking for “perfection” in that sense. My version of perfect is a comfortable living space with plenty of options for sleeping arrangements and a kitchen/dining area that is easily functional for a large family of 9 people.

  This house did NOT disappoint. Great, close access to beaches, Seawall Blvd., and the downtown area/The Strand. Fun fact: I’m a knitter and crocheter, and this house is literally 4-5 blocks from the local yarn store, Joyfully Stranded Yarn and Beads! Great place!

  We would definitely consider staying again!

  One last note: We did experience a couple of issues with outside noise or people lingering/loitering in the neighborhood a little too long for my comfort. That said, there was no danger or harm or reason for major concern. It is just not going to be super quiet or peaceful outside the home. Inside the home was very calm, inspiring, and peaceful!
